Barbara J. Seibel

Bloomington, Minnesota

Barb  primarily practices in the areas of family law and estate planning.  In her practice, Barb advocates for clients and children affected by break downs in the marital relationship.  She has experience in litigating, settling and trying marriage dissolution proceedings.  She routinely advises clients on:

  • Antenuptial, prenuptial, and postnuptial agreements
  • Litigation and settlement of marital and non-marital assets
  • Non-marital tracing
  • Spousal maintenance and child support
  • Custody arrangements and parenting time matters
  • Disentanglement of common business interests
  • Mediation, arbitration, evaluative proceedings
  • Motions, trials, and appeals

As a mother, Barb understands the sensitive and emotionally challenging issues families face when dealing with divorce.  She strives to limit the natural strains on family relationships while advocating an effective outcome for her client.  When things cannot be resolved amicably, Barb is ready and willing to represent her client’s interests in court.

Clients describe Barb as “knowledgeable, responsive, and compassionate.”  In her advocacy, she remains “focused on [her client’s] needs.”  She is “a voice of reason” when circumstances warrant; and a “counselor in the truest sense” throughout the dissolution process.

When Barb is not working for one of her clients, she enjoys spending time with her son, exercising, reading books, and travelling.
