Roberta A. Yard
Roberta Yard is an attorney who has been licensed to practice in the State of Minnesota since 2002. She earned her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law (2002) and her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Winona State University (1991). While she was at Santa Clara, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Santa Clara Law Review. Roberta is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, moved to California after graduating from college and attended law school there, and returned to Minnesota in 2002.
Roberta has over twenty three years experience working in the legal industry, with thirteen years working as a practicing attorney. Roberta has always had a passion for helping people through estate planning. Although she began her legal career as a litigator, Roberta decided to make the transition to estate planning after the deaths of her parents, and later one of her sisters. She experienced first hand the difficulties and challenges following the death of a loved-one, and knew that having an estate plan in place would have taken a large burden off the family and left them to focus on family rather than a court proceeding. Roberta takes the time to explain the options that are available to clients, and walks them through the entire process so they feel comfortable their plan will carry out their wishes.
When not at work, Roberta enjoys spending time with her children and traveling. Roberta is member of the Minnesota Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and has volunteered for the Wills for Heroes program.
