Adoption
It is important to note that our firm is
not an adoption agency. We will not act to bring adoptive parents
and birth parents together. We will not locate children for
adoptive parents to adopt and we will not locate adoptive parents
for birth parents who want to give up their children for adoption.
In the event we receive such inquiries, we generally refer that
individual to the appropriate agency and then encourage the
individual to contact our firm when he or she is prepared to
proceed with the adoption.
Despite what many people believe, adoption proceedings are
very complex. They generally impact the rights of many individuals,
including those who are not always known to the central parties
of the proceeding.
The most important part of any adoption
is to make sure that the adoption is final once it has been
approved by the Court.
Therefore, no matter which side of
the adoption proceeding an individual may be on, it is always
recommended that the individual obtain experienced legal representation
to guide him or her through the difficult process. |
